Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded and left decent lacing. The aroma was yeasty, musty and a bit bready. The flavor was bread, honey, yeast and faint notes of orange, phenol and must. Banana comes out as it warms. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

On tap at Red Brick during OBW. Pours bright cloudy golden with small white head. Low carbonation, little lacing, and medium body. Taste is wheat, clove, and a hint of banana. Above average for a hefeweizen.

Paid $2.79 for a 1 pt, 6oz bottle. Clody pale... looked light while I poured, but looks more like smashed banana water now that it's in the glass. BIG frothy head. Slight banana smell, slight "beer" smell. Going in, it tastes nice: banana hinted, etc. However, that aftertaste rolls around, and it tastes like I just took a big bite out of a candle. Kinda waxy, yucky bitter... maybe I got a bad bottle, but this still is far from drinkable.

Thanks to alcfron for this 22oz bad boy. 2002 bottle. This is a good representation of the style, even though Wheat beers are not among my favorites. Pours a murky, hazy grapefruit juice color with no head or lacing to speak of. Aroma of pineapple and other citrus fruits. Crisp, clean flavor is sweet with a tart finish. Again, I am not really a fan of Hefe''s but this is a good example of the right way to make one.
