On one side we’ve got a rich, full flavor with hints of chocolate and dried fruits. On the other side we’ve got a smooth bitterness from just the right amount of hops. Together, they bring perfect balance. Enjoy!
This beer has a similar story to that of Easter Porter. When we could, because of the seasonal requirements at the Swedish monopoly, we wanted to make and highlight a beer style that we love but which does not get much love. Dark Lager is such a style. Why this beer style is so forgotten in the modern beer community we do not know. High in complexity, taste and drinkability while also being really easy to pair with food (it goes with almost anything) it's the perfect beer for nearly every occasion. This time, easter had to do. For other times we have our Mörk Lager.

Bottle. Deep brown liquid with medium light tan head. Aroma of dried fruit, bread, grain, earth, raw sugar and light chocolate. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of coffee, dried fruit, raw sugar, raisins and light ash. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice!

Flaska från SB, påsköl 2016. Coca cola-färgad, klar, lågt skum. Doft av rostad malt och mörk socker. Ganska enkel och söt smakbild. Sött och rostat. Liknar en lättare söt porterMen den funkar bra till liter sötare husmanskost. Ok.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel grainy aroma. Fruity malty spicy grainy caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel finish.

Deep brown with an off white head, dissipates quickly leaving no lacings. Aroma is coffee, almond, chocolate, roasted malt. Taste is seni sweet with cocoa tones, malty, chocolate, coffee leading to a slight bitter finish. Quite big body, medium sticky carbo.

(330ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours cola colour with a handful of whitish bubbles and lace. Aroma of caramel, dark bread, light roasted malts, slight plum, toasted grain. Palate is semisweet toffee and caramel, bready, some roast, a touch of dark fruit and chocolate, semi bitter roast to the finish. Light to medium body is a little thin, light carbonation. Not a bad dark lager at all, even if it’s not a style I love.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Very dark brown, small head. Rich chocolaty nose. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate and toffee dominates. Mid bitter finish.

330ml Bottle - Very dark in colour. Coffee, liquorice and chocolate covered raisins in the aroma. Roasted and slightly earthy taste with coffee, cocoa, liquorice and vanilla detected.
