Can from the brewery. Burnt orange pour, small beige head. Aroma is very bread, and slightly nutty, with some very subtle, soft hops. Mouth feel is a tad watery, flavour to me reminds me more of an alt, than a marzen, the malts are very prominent. Finish is again quite bread, minerals, and lots of cereals.

Can from the LCBO. Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a soapy off-white head, and some lacing. Pretty sweet smelling at first, but then, calms down showing some toasted cereal grains with some caramel malts and light hops. The taste is much of the same with the hops lingering a bit. This adds a touch of bitterness, but not too much for the style. Lots of the cereal grains all-around. A very nice Marzen.

Can from the LCBO. Clear dark gold under a small fast fading white head. Light malt and butterscotch nose with some herbal and nutty notes. Flavour is light sweet with some light butter and a very light bitterness. Mouth is thin and oily with very soft carbonation. Underwhelming. 6-/3-/5-/3/10-

A golden orange ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice crisp biscuit malt with grainy notes, mash tun, German hops, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a nice crisp biscuit malt with grassy German hops, light mineral notes, grainy notes, OK. On tap at Beau’s Oktoberfest 2016.
