650ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a deep amber with a one finger tan head that fades quickly to a film. Nose is roasted malts with some spice and some sour notes. Light sweet caramel start with some fruity tartness of cherry and plum and a very subdued clove like spice lurking in the background. Medium slick mouth with average carbonation. Interesting.

barVolo, Toronto tap 5oz ($5): Pours a brownish colour with pretty much no head. Later, upon tasting it, I realized there is minimal carbonation, and that would kind of explain it. Aroma is slightly sour, but mostly heavy toward the malt. Taste is very mildly sour with some metal in the end. This is an interesting beer, and as a style it might be something that has some potential, but in its current incarnation I was not all that impressed.
