Maybe not the easiest pale ale to brew, but we think it’s worth the effort. The intense rye spice and woody Pacific Northwest hops are a perfect companion for those nights under the stars with friends, music and a fire pit.

355ml can at Cafe Sånn in Tromsø. Pours a hazy orange coloured body, decent pearl white, lacing head. Malty-fruity smell, slightly jam-like. Blended taste of bread, caramel sweetness and piney bitterness followed by a pleasant bittersweet tail. Medium bodied. Pleasing and well balanced (meet-up with Jan Oscar 06.08.2016).

Fra boks 355ml på Cafe Sånn. Varm gylden. Middels høyt, pent & luftig skum med filigranser. Bra aroma av mandarin. Smaken lett syrlig frukt & bær. Blir tørr etter hvert. Ettersmak av appelsinskall.

Can from Wholefoods, Kensington, London. A hazy amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, malty, rye aroma. Tastes much the same, hoppy, malty, rye, some caramel, slightly sweet. I liked this one.

355ml can. Wonderful, cloudy, orangey, bright, deep golden colour with small frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma, notes of orange and mandarine, some rye spiciness. Taste is fruity hoppy, notes of orange and mandarine juice, a touch of blood orange, mild rye spiciness; clean palate. Clean, focused and precisely sculptured.
