330ml bottle from a cardboard tube. Pours dark brown with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma is dried fruits, smokey peat, wood, whiskey. The aroma is surprisingly faint to be honest. Taste is medium sweet, dried fruit, barrel, smoke. Light bitter finish. Medium bodied. Feels overcarbonated. Not the big flavoursome beer I was expecting. Disappointing, especially considering the high price.

330ml bottle in cardboard tube, been sat waiting for the best part of three years - opaque dark ruby body, off white head, nose is rich dark fruits, that port is there too. Warming taste, good winter beer, caramel fruity, fruit cake. Quality and well deserved.

Bottle: Poured a clear deep burgundy color ale with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry caramelized malt with nice port and scotch notes is quite enticing. Taste is a great mix of dry caramelized notes with some smooth port notes with light residual sugar notes and some scotch notes are also perceptible with light oak presence. Body is about average with good carbonation and light alcohol presence. Interesting beer but some flavors could have been more pronounced.

Beautiful packaging with the tube for scotch bottle and black cover over the bottle cap. Bottle 557 of 4344 with a best before date of July 2022. Fruity nose with berries, sour cherries over the roasted malts, that also gives out dark fruits, mostly plums. A little nutty, maple hints. Hazy deep mahogany colour with a light-beige head that is big, frothy, lightly-creamy, with very long retention and some thick patches of foam lacing. Flavours of the burnt malts that lingers on the tongue. A nice warming mouthfeel, very good bitterness. The dark fruits disappears in the taste though, so kind of missing something in the taste. Just seems like a bitter Imperial Stout, which is fine, but was expecting more from the look of this one.
