Perfectly clear copper and bronze coloured body with a nice three centimetre tall off-white and tan head that's microfoamed and stays afloat nicely above the very clear body. Aroma of lemons, grapefruit, grass, flowers and a dash of candy, with a lot of malts here and some smooth alcohol roams towards the end. Medium-bodied; Rich sweetness from honey and caster sugar, with a strong bitterness from the hops with some citrus, piney and herbal qualities, but balanced well with the malts and a good kick of fruit flavours, too. Aftertaste is crisp and fairly clean, with a good balance of malt, hops and sweetness throughout this, that all hits pretty nicely with a light, but enjoyable hop bitterness that's here, and with some smooth sugars that aren't pungent and not cloying, and alcohol that seems hidden to some degree - around 7,5 per cent, it seems. Overall, a very nice older school (filtered) IPA that borders on Imperial Status, but in my opinion, is a plain IPA, and a nice one at that! Great to sample, a few hours before heading back to New York, and very fresh - a nice label on the can, too, tops this one off! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Bread & Honey in New York (56th @ 8th Ave), New York on 04-December-2021 for US$6,59, canned on 28-September-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 13-January-2022.

Draught at The Sampler: pours hazy with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruit... mango and papaya type stuff. Taste is sweet, typical, tropical fruitiness. Good.
