Tap at the source in Cagliari (Italy). Black pour, regular and tick brownish foam. Nose: roasted barley, burnt malts. Mouth: watery and dry palate, balanced Stout, quite simple and solid.

On tap @King Arthur (Rome). Bruna, intensa, schiuma avorio/beige. Al naso note di caffè, leggero erbaceo, cioccolato fondente amaro. In bocca è molto esile, ma non così secca come ci si aspetterebbe, principalmente caffettosa. Corpo esile, carbonazione medio-leggera. Un po' anonima.

From 75cl bottle, expired six months ago. Pours dark plum with irregular brownish foam. Aroma is clearly coffee, red fruits, roasted malt. Body is fairly light, but rather carbonated for a stout. Taste is mostly sweet, with moderate bitterness. Finish is dry.

On tap at Brasserie 4:20, Rome. Pours black with small tan head. Roasted malts, chocolate, sweetish with some bitterness in finish. Dry. Quite thin.

Bottle from Domus Birrae in Rome, brought back to UK, and split at the EU themed 2nd Ipswich bottle share. Pours dark brown, extremely lively, with a big light brown head quickly diminishing to nothing. Aroma has some chocolate but not much to it. Quite bland, light mody, thin texture. Very disappointing.
