On tap at Gulating Pub, Stavanger. A gorgeous looking black beer with a fingerthick tan to beige head leaving lacing. Oats, roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, rye and burnt malts in the aroma. Hints of soy sauce too. It’s smooth, full-bodied and lightly warming on the palate, with a rather sweet flavor. Roasted malts, oats, spiced rye notes, cocoa, burnt notes, chocolate and some soy sauce in the flavor, along with a fruity touch. Just enough bitterness to keep the sweetness from being cloying. Lasting finish with lots of dark flavors. A very delicious beer indeed. 171020

Gulating Pub Stavanger 201017. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, licorice. Flavor is dry, licorice, hop, roasted malt, coffee, . Full body. Nice beer.

Draught @ HBF 2017 [ Helsinki Beer Festival 2017 ], Kaapelitehdas, Talberginkatu 1, Helsinki, Finland. [ As Pyynikin Imperial Stout ].Clear dark black colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark fruit, chocolate, dark malt, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, dark malt, dark fruit, smooth. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20170408] 7-4-7-4-15

Smaksprøve fra fat på Gulating pub Stavanger: brunsvart med flott skum som varer. Røstet malt, fransk espresso, 80% sjokolade og med en tørr, litt skarp avslutning. Stor fylde, drikker gjerne denne igjen.

Bottle 33 cl. Black with a medium light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, some coffee and toast. Sweet, light bitterness with a long warm chocolate, alc and coffee end.

Draft sample at SOPP 2017 in Helsinki. Dark brown color brown head with good retention and lacing. Fruity coffee aroma. Taste is smooth, dry earthy. Tasty.

Tap. Tasted on the 15/07/2017 at Artbeerfest (Caminha). Intense black colour with a medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, liquorice, coffee and vanilla. Taste is intense roasty and coffee with some wood on the finish. Aftertaste is slightly alcoholic. Next one please!

Caňa en V Artbeerfest Caminha 15..07..2017. (r14). Color negro intenso con espuma beige oscuro persistente. Sabores maltosos y cereales tostados con cacaos y cafés notables, ligeras vainillas y final algo seco con suave amargo. Cuerpo medio espumoso, fino, algo seco al final. Bastante buena para repetir sin duda.
