500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Slightly grainy, toasty, malty aroma, a touch of spelt, surpressed hints of malt lozenge and caramel. Taste is toasty dark malty, a touch of roast, caramel and malt lozenge, bitter hoppy counterpart; minimally creamy palate.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn. Pours slightly hazy deep chestnut brown with a short lasting off white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hop, dark fruit and light chocolate. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, slight sticky texture, soft carbonation. Finish is sweet, and malty. Certainly had worst bottled Altbiers.

*Old rating. Best before 30.03.05. Nice but not too seep brew. Roasted malt, moderate bitterness with some sweetish hints. Easy to drink stuff! --- Beer merged from original tick of Hannen Alt (2023+) on 29 Jun 2024 at 22:54 - Score: 7. Original review text: Nice deep malty beginning. Easy to drink, nice intense bitter with a round creamy caramelly back. Nice intense bittered, hazelnuts and caramel. Great stuff. Long bitter hazelnut finish.
