500ml Bottle conditioned: the day after the party! 8th June 2014 and I’m back at my mates to drink up the remnants, this being one of them. Pours almost black with a tanned head. Over roasted and then toasted malts rule the nose and taste in this extremely malty Mild. The malts pushed the hop content into the background throughout the tasting and although there was a slightly bitter undertone you had to search for it.

Cask@The Plasterers Arms, Norwich. Deep brownish black colour, small head. Aroma is roasted malts, toffee, liquorice and some mild caramelly notes. Flavour is rather similar with some slight not-too-sweet syrupy notes as well.
