Big, fruity and citrusy, this classic West Coast IPA has all the heftiness of the mysterious rock formations found across the landscape of the Peak District. Thanksfully, it's also a lot easier to raise to your lips.

Can from the brewery online shop. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of orange and light pine. Taste is zesty but not very bitter for the style.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours mostly clear honey-gold with a big, frothy white topping. Light sweet flavour with notes of sun-baked pale malts, dried citrus peel, mellow pine, soft bitterness. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Clean finish, lightly drying, more citrus peel, crispy pale malts. Mighty drinkable.

Can, picked up from Buxton webshop consumed at Mum and Keith's, Worcester Thursday 4th April 2024. Pours light/mid gold with a slight haze. This is a super westy, a little more approachable than some westies, easy drinking, classic bitterness and resinous touches. Absolutely lovely.

Panda, thanks to Cloin. A mild haze on this gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light but smooth palate, reasonable fine minerally carbonation. Light smooth pale malts, never thin and delivering a nice light smooth creamy sweetness. Rich and slightly ripe citrus hop fruits, but a light brighter citrus keeps things on the up and up. Light crispy pine. A pinch of hop spice on the semi dry finish. Good. But. Buxton can do better and bolder.
