Not afraid of being the Maverick this IPA Heavyweight has a great balance of bittering and hops. The dominant citrus & grapefruit tones come from the American Cascade hop.

440ml can: BB 31st March 2025, drank at my dad's place in Devon on 16th March 2024. Orange amber body, white crown. Piney hop bitterness, some citrus/tropical fruit action and a malty balance, liked it's semi-harshness.

Clear golden colour with lasting head. Really punchy aroma and flavour. Lots of yellow stone fruit notes. Slightly earthy and floral bitterness.

500 ml bottle, from KWM Wines & Spirits. ABV is 7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of grain, dust and Cascade hops. The flavour is better, here the Cascade hops come up front, with the expected citric notes, on a sufficient malt base. Medium bitter finish. Pleasant to drink.

500ml bottle bought from KWM Wines and drunk at home. It pours brownish gold with an impressive white head, but the body of the beer looks quite thin. Soft fruit on the nose, with peach and tangerine, with a perfumed floral note. At first, the taste is a weird sort of alcohol burn, and I think, 'I not gonna like this'. Then the clouds part to reveal juicy stone fruit, iced tea. Finish is sweet, body isn't as thin as I'd feared. Heavily carbonated but I can live with that. All around decent.

500ml bottle at Paus Craft Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy light amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, big zesty tropical citrus fruits, woody hop. The flavour of a moderate bitter and sweet, with a crisp, fresh, big juicy citrus, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. I’m surprised to find this so fresh and tasting well here in Malaysia.

Tight off white creamy head stayed on an unclear copper coloured body. Muted aroma of fruit, caramel & confectionery. Medium bodied, smooth to the front with a sharp back. Well balanced tastes of hops, berries, confectionery, malt & caramel.
