16/8/2023. Draft at BrewDog, Clerkenwall. £6.40 a third. Pours black with a small frothy tan coloured head. Aroma of dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malts, vanilla, caramel, dark fruits, touch of herb. Medium sweetness, quite heavy bitterness, with a slightly odd herbal perfumed taste, almost a bit parma violet, which was unexpected. Full bodied, very smooth, super soft carbonation. Great looks and mouthfeel, and quite enjoyable, but something didn't work on the taste. Have had much better from Bereta.

Keg draught at BrewDog North Street, Leeds. Dark brown with a ring of brown head. Opaque. Aroma of leather, tar, molasses, sea salt, caramel. Taste is a lot sweeter than I'd have envisaged. It's got a hoppy balance in the finish but overall this is a sweet beer. Slight herbal note just at the end, and the body isn't anywhere near as full as I'd hoped. That doesn't keep it from being an excellent impy though. Recommended.

Dark black pour with a thin tan head; aromas are mainly cocoa and coffee with some raosted malts, similar for the taste with a nice boozy finish. Good one
