Cask at The 38th Pig's Ear Beer Festival, Hackney, London. An amber brown coloured pour with a medium off white/beige bubbly head on top. Musty, dark fruit, malty, caramel taste/aroma. For some strange reason this beer reminded me of old steam engines when I was a kid, an interesting ale that brought back a lot of memories.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Clear reddish amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Fairly thin malts for the style with a modest sweetness. An odd but not at all unpleasant floral cherry thing going on, very slightly bitter. Ripe fruits, trace of ripe citric peel. Dry finish. Out there but pretty drinkable.
