Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 5th November 2016. Crystal clear amber with thin creamy white foam and full lacing. Malty aroma with caramel. Fruity in-mouth with berries, floral and grassy hop and a strong malt presence. A lengthy, intensely bitter finish. Full-bodied with a zingy mouthfeel. Excellent.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Swindon Beer festival, 28/10/2016. Amber in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Bready malts, floral hops, citrus fruit character, leading to a dryish finish. Good.

(Cask at Craft Beer St Mary Axe, London, 21 April 2016) Amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with orange, apricots, tropical fruit and fresh floral hops. Fruity, malty taste with notes of citrus, orange peel, tropical fruit and a finish with lots of floral hops. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Fresh and tasty. Nice one.

Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. Straw with a ring of white head; floral aroma; rich sticky honey taste, without being too sweet; and a pleasant herbal bitterness before a dry finish. Nothing in the way of citrus though.

Earl of Essex. Cask. Clear gold beer, no head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Super light malts, slight dust but nothing serious. Hops are an intriguing mix of light floralness, mild lime pith and mild orange citrus. Traces of peach and mango. Dry finish with a mild to medium bitterness. Interesting but I think we need someone like Kernel to show us what this hop is really about.
