Well stored bottle. Black body under a dense beige head. Wonderful aroma of coffee, vanilla and dark malt. Taste is sweet, mild roasted dark malt, coffee, chocolate and some dry fruit. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste with the same flavors. Definitively on the sweeter side but very nice for a small glass. Alcohol is well hidden.

On tap at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø. A dark brown to black beer with a small, light beige head. Nice curtains. Coffee, roasted malts, some caramel and chocolate and a touch of bread and burnt malts in the aroma. It's very smooth on the palate, full-bodied, nicely carbonated and quite sweet. Coffee and roasted malts run the show in the flavor too, with caramel, dark sugar, chocolate and some burnt malts. Lasting finish. A supersmooth and quite delicious one, not sure if a full glass would be a bit too much on the sweet side though. 171021

(Keg at Panema Kallio, 29180429) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, cocoa powder and dark chocolate. Palate was full bodied and soft with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, cocoa with cream, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, sweet and bitter. A pleasant strong dark brew with quite strong sweetness but not too excessive.
