A collab with Time and Tide, this coffee Black IPA with all the pazzazz the style could offer. Roasted bittersweet chocolate malt character meets big ass coffee flavour. The latter all thanks to Has Bean's El Salvador Pacamara beans that give you chocolate, walnuts and pear-y whole bean notes to compliment the hoppy yet dark style. Dip dab amounts of licorice add to the complexity and give the right amount of sweetness to soften the all American hops we packed in.

Bottle shared at Leightons place, 31/07/2017. Many thanks to Wingman Dave for this one. A clouded nutty brown coloured pour with a beige head. Aroma is woody pine, raw grains bark, jammy fruit. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty woody pine and jammy red berries, medium sweet. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation. Ok.

Keg at the Bottle Shop, Bermondsey, 17/06/17. Light black with a well presented tan head that soon collapses to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, spice, burnt toffee, earthy hop, light charr, fairly mellow considering the hefty ABV. Taste comprises cocoa powder, toffee, aniseed, charr, light pine dusting, mellow dark fruit peel. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Decent enough CDA ... perhaps lacks depth for the ABV but certainly drinks below it.

Keg at the Bottle Shop - Bermondsey. Pours clear brown with a creamy, tan head. The aroma holds well toasted brown bread, cocoa, oily pine, faint orange. Medium sweet flavour with a moderate alcohol kick, some leathery, dried berries, bitter cocoa. Full bodied, somewhat chewy, with fine carboantion. Warming finish with some earthy hops, burnt toast, more cocoa, toasted pine. Not bad.

Keg at Bottle Shop. It pours hazy deep red - brown with a tiny beige head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, toasty malts, cocoa, orange sherbet, apricot, peachy, toffee and mango smoothie. The taste is dry, bitter, toasty, earth, roasted malt, charred wood, ashy, earthy, leather and liquorice with a dying finish. Medium + body and fine carbonation. Nice juicy aroma to it. Decent gear.
