Amber color with a fine tan head. Good lacing. Decent intensity in the aroma with an ok hop profile. Medium body and a soft to average carbonation level. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Nice hop profile in this one. Made it a bit fresher than a normal amber ale. Also toffee, bready and fruity.

Cask at the Mitre, Lancaster Gate. It pours clear deep red - brown with a small beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, wood, resin, leather and earth. The taste is bitter, pine, resinous, spicy, toffee, chewy malt, brown bread, leather, grapefruit rind and spice with a dry, resinous finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent enough amber. Gets a but chewy as it warms up.
