Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Maidenhead Beer Festival 20/10/2017. Ruddy brown in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Leafy hops, sweet berry fruits, brown sugar and slightly sweet malts, with a touch of chocolate, leading to a dryish finish. Fine.

330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium head. Aroma is woody cola and cooked veg. Taste has fruits of the forest to start. Coffee finish. Red berries aftertaste.

More sourness than I would have expected from a cream ale.

Keg at the earl of Essex. An opaque dark black / plum coloured pour with a a lasting tidy light tan head. Aroma is subdued, tangy red berries, soft milky roast and powdered choc. Flavour is composed of tangy berries, cherry grape, powdered choc, mellow roast. Palate is tangy, mellow sour, highish carbonation. Ok. Interesting idea.
