An extra special version of Railway Porter aged on Brettanomyces wild yeast for a minimum of nine months. Smooth and dry with a little bit of funk, and subtle dark fruit and red-berry flavours.

Released every Autumn and Winter on draught only, our Derailed Porter went down a storm in the ‘Golden Pint’ round-ups of late 2017, especially on cask.

We’ll see you down the pub in Autumn.

(Cask at King's Arms, Bethnal Green, London, 18 Nov 2023) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate, liquorice and spicy yeast aromas. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, bretty yeast and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Quite tasty, with an interesting yeast character. Very nice.

Pours a matt black with a small thick creamy tan head. The aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, light brett notes and a hint of dark fruit. A roasted malt and chocolatey taste, cocoa powder, light brett, and roasted malt flavours with a some tartness in a smooth roasted finish.

Cask, half-pint, shared with Finn at Brewery Tap. Black in the glass, low fawn-coloured head, dotted spots on the glass. Rather restrained smell of roasted chocolate malts. Blended malt-fruity flavours, chocolate, liquorice and dark fruits. Rounded malt-fruity ending. Medium bodied. Pretty good. (Norwich 11.11.2021).
