Cask at Pigsโ€™ Ear 2017. It pours jet black with a small beige head. The aroma is soft, sweet, sticky, slick, oily, sugary / candy and liquorice. The taste is slick, oily, drying, liquorice, earthy, ashy, charred wood, leather, tar and burnt fruit loaf. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth โ€“ feel. Comes across a bit burnt to me. So-so.

A strange tasting stout. There are tart notes to it but also liquorice, bitter roasted malts and a touch of fresh green hop. Overall itโ€™s out of sync with itself.
