Cask at Pigs Ear 2017 - Hackney. Pours black with a frothy, tan head. The nose holds strong roasted malts, ash, dry chocolate. Light sweet flavour, very dry, with light coffee notes, baking cocoa, further ashy roast. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more sturdy dryness, bitter cocoa, burnt wood. Alright.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, good bubbly tan head. Light palate, dry and with decent fine carbonation. Thin dark malts, some tang and a bit of hard roasted malt. Trace of dark chocolate. A little dark fruits and some very mild smoke. Dry finish leaves a bitter linger. Hmmmm - can get a beer like this off of hundreds of brewers. Want something modern from Siren.
