On tap at their Hautes-Plaines taproom. Pours black with a tan head. Tons of coconut, vanilla, and chocolate on the nose. Flavour has a chocolatey base with vanilla and coconut. Not much roast or complexity, but still a very nice pastry stout.

Jet black with a small brown head. Coconut and vanilla with lots of chocolate. Chocolate and coconut. Rich and well done.

Had on tap at the brewery. A very dark brown, almost black with a dark mocha-coloured head, some creaminess, good retention and lacing. The aromas of their sweet stouts are so amazing ! Rich and all. Chocolate sweetness, cocoa chips, powder, coffee all balanced with the nuttiness and hints of vanilla. The coconut comes out in the taste with the cocoa notes. Not as rich overall, so easier to swallow, but very fine for a 7% ABV. and still full flavour. Overall silky mouthfeel. Great for the style. Another winner, as these guys are known for their IPAs, but so far, all their darker stoutish beer I have tried, are way up there.

16oz (thx, Phill S.!) @ home. Appearance: opaque dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: sweet dark chocolate. Taste: along the same lines with some lacto notes, quite smooth, not overly sweet. Overall: very nice.

Can: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium size brown foamy head with light retention and some light lacing. Aroma of coconut with some lactose and vanilla with some black chocolate is quite enticing. Taste is also a mix of coconut with some lactose and vanilla with some black chocolate and quite a bit of residual sugar is quite extreme. Body is full with good carbonation. Liquid fudge with some coconut and vanilla. The only issue is that it becomes overwhelming after a while.

A deep dark stout with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with light resinous floral hops, vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, molasses, plums, light vanilla, very nice. On tap at brewery.
