Kontinenten.

Bottle at home in London (picked up in Stockholm). Pours a rich gold with a small, creamy white head. Nose holds a bit of toasted cereal. Light to medium sweet flavor, plenty more toasted cereal and dough, some toasty-grassy bitterness, very faint hints of metal. Light bodied with average to high carbonation. Pretty crisp to finish, some more toasty cereal and almost burnt grass, and a bit of rusty metal or copper, which isn’t too cool. Yeah, there’s a lingering rusty note that doesn’t thrill. Also some surprisingly abrasive bitterness. A good start but a mediocre finish.

Flaske 0,33l fra Systembolaget, Kiruna. Drukket hjemme 19 Mai 12. Gyldenbrun. Høyt luftig skum som varer en stund og fester seg til glasset. Forsiktig maltaroma. Smaken er malt med litt krydder. Syrlig bitter ettersmak.

Bottled. Deep golden, faint coarse head. Floral hops pave the way for crystal malt. Sweetish with light-medium bodied and clean mouthfeel. The lack of off flavours and the reasonably generous usage of floral hops distinguishes it from the sea of industrial lagers. Fairly low bitterness. While the clean mouthfeel rediuces the drinkability and it lacks depth it’s still a more than decent effort from a macro brewer.
