Oatmeal Stout made with naturally dried Ethiopian coffee beans (locally roasted from Press Coffee) and blended with cold brewed coffee after fermentation. The addition of whole bean coffee brings out a cherry-like fruitiness which is balanced by the robust flavor of the cold brewed coffee.

Draft at the Diablo Cafe in Flagstaff. Dark brown with a creamy, beige head. Aroma of coffee grounds and roasted grains. Taste is bitter with a faint sourness at the finish. Medium bodied. Straightforward. Decent.

Roast and coffee. Black pour with decent initial mocha head but disappears pretty quickly. No lacing. Some dark chocolate. Light bitter finish. Nice beer, and nice balance. Light caramel gives a hint of sweetness. Can.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of coffee, chocolate milk, dark bread. Pours very dark brown to black with a one+ finger tan head with excellent retention. Tastes like bittersweet chocolate and coffee. Finishes dry. Solid.

Sample from crowler at Kurtkeller 029: Keller-tastic 01 (Homebrews For Homeboy) on 08/05/2018. Brown-black pour with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to a dense film. Patchy lacing. Aroma of coffee, malt and chocolate. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, roasted coffee and chocolate. The finish is roasty malt and coffee. Above average overall.

On tap at Wren House Brewing, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out oats and almost no notice of the coffee. Flavour brings out a lot more coffee upfront, followed by dry oats and some chocolate. Full-bodied and well-balanced and constructed. Good.

32oz growler pours with a deep dark body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up some rich coffee, an earthy coffee note and then deeply roasted coffee towards the end of the draw and a faint sense of nuttiness. The taste delivers smooth coffee notes that quickly ramp up into dark roasted malts and some burnt maltiness. There are snippets of sweetness here and there as the roastiness ratchets up another notch or two. Solid coffee brew.
