This ale poured a deep reddish amber colour with a thick, tan coloured head. Scents include caramel, brandy, perfume and a little bread. First swig was quite smooth with flavours of caramel, tea and brandy. Finish was sweet with a little hop bitterness lingering.

Nice looking bottle and the name... just the name was like - oh yes !! Not so much having it now. Clean copper colour with a beige head, average retention and a little foamy lace. Bready malts with plum (pudding?) and lots of caramel. That's about it for the pudding part (and who really wants plum pudding). Not as sweet as expected in the taste with the bread notes, but a surprise. Some hops creating a decent dryness, taking over the caramel malts. Good as a darker ale, but a letdown from the title. Maybe more fruitcake. Yuck to that!

Cask @Le Bon Bock (Rome). Bruna con riflessi coca cola, schiuma avorio mediamente persistente. Al naso note di malto, caramello, leggera toatatur, pan di spagna, spezie (vaniglia, cannella). In bocca รจ dolciastra con finale appena amaro. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Birra natalizia senza molte pretese, perรฒ ben fatta.

Tap @ Flakhaven, Odense. Pours Amber copper with a white head. Sweet caramel, bread and vanilla. Pudding. Forgettable

Bottle from Nisa, Hebden Bridge. Copper-red with next to no head. Full-bodied with a malty-sweetness. Not overly interesting though.

500ml bottle. Pours reddy brown with a small head. Aroma is cola and festive spice. Taste is mostly cola. Some bread on the finish.

500ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a white head that bubbled away quickly, leaving a pretty flat beer behind. Sweet, spicy aroma with a little fruit. Flavour is toffee, ccloves and other spices. Ok

Dark brown colour with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of dried fruit sweetness. Fairly thin and a bit gassy.

500ml clear bottle into an Abbot Ale glass tankard, at home on 14th Dec 2016. Clean ruby coloured body, light brown/beige head. Rye, toffee esters and liquorice in both the nose and taste. Add some hedgerow fruits into the flavours but forget to use any Christmas spices and youโve nailed the taste completely. Not the best UK Christmas beer I have ever had: a crown that is not hard to claim either!
