DOUBLE IPA - A beer featuring big tropical fruits, and resinous hops. This beer has the perfect combination of bitterness and sweetness. A balanced double IPA that will have you dragging your knuckles if you don't pay it enough respect.

Keg at Berkhamsted beer shop, Berkhamsted, Herts. A golden/amber coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Slightly sweet, hoppy, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes the same, hoppy, sweet/biitter, some tropical fruit in there too. Rather unbalanced in my opinion and overly boozy but just about OK if you want to get hammered on a DIPA..

Keg @ The Sportsman, Huddersfield. Sportsman Bizarre Beer Festival. Clouded amber with next to no head. Strong tasting but the tropical fruits are evident in both aroma and taste.

Draft @ Craft100. Pours a hazy pale amber color with a small white head. Fruity malty weak piney hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty piney hoppy grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit finish.

Bottle from Bier Huis, Ossett. Murky, burnished copper colour. Bubbly, filmy, white head. Sweet, thick, strawberry jam. Overripe, fusty oranges. Some pine resin. Taste is a fairly heavy, Cointreau type sweetness. The minimal carbonation accentuates this, too. Thick palate. A late coming, but lingering, grapefruit bitterness helps things balance out. Didnโ€™t think I was going to like this as much as other Anarchy brews, but by the end Iโ€™d got into the swing of things! Perhaps the name says it all...?

Keg at the Cask, Pimlico, 25/09/13. Clear golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is slightly booze coated, bready malt, caramel, bitter orange. Taste comprises orange pith, cheesey, bitter hops, sugars, grapefruit. Medium bodied, a little hot and sticky, astringent hop bitterness in the finish. A little bit messy and probably my least favourite beer from these guys.

Keg at Cask Pub & Kitchen. It pours hazy orange-amber with a medium white head. The nose is pine, salty, brown bread, sweet peach, orange, wood and dirt. The taste is bitter, pine, resin, earth, dirt, grapefruit, orange, peppery, peach and sherbet with a bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good deal of bitterness. Pretty decent.

Craft Clerkenwell. Keg. Hazy amber beer, little pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and slightly soft. Light fine carbonation. Sweetish generic fruit hops and a touch of orange peel. Light crystallised fruits. Softish sweet finish. Really pretty sweet for an IPA - not much hop sting or bitterness. But itโ€™s quite tasty.

Keg at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Pours ruby-orange with a light, creamy white head. Nose has lots of ripe citrus, juicy tangerine, hints of caramel. Medium to heavy sweet flavor, bit of punchy alcohol, mango, orange, papaya. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm finish, fairly resinous, some dried tropical fruits. A bit heavy-handed.
