Small Beer is an exceptionally satisfying and full-bodied beer for its stature, with the same big hop hit you may expect from our more muscular Pale Ales. Small Beer is vibrant with citrus, tropical fruit and hedgerow berry flavours, meandering to a gentle bitter finish.

Bottle from Brewer’s Droop, Bristol. Golden in colour with a slight, white, head and moderate carbonation. Tangerine and pineapple fruits, a touch of grassy hops, biscuity malts and a dryish finish. Good.

Bottle from Brewer’s Droop, Bristol. Golden in colour, with a slight haze and moderate carbonation. Citrus fruits, light cereal mlats, a hint of pine and dryish finish. A lot going on for such a low ABV beer. Enjoyable.

Clear gold - amber beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry and a little crisp. Light thin malts but still able to provide a little creamy sweetness. Hops are dry tangy orange, starfruit and floral bitterness. A bit of a dusty citric peel thing going on. Dry finish, bitter linger. Tasty enough but it’s a bit dry.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at We Brought Beer. Pours totally clear gold with a frothy white head. Lovely aroma that belies the strength, bursting with pithy, somewhat dry citrus fruits, some crispy pale malts, light straw. Light sweet flavor with prominent citrus pith, minerals, simple pale malts, grapefruit, lemon rind. Light in body with average carbonation. Clean on the finish with very lean malts, further pithy citrus, grapefruit, tangerine and lemon, slight piney resin, touches of hay, mineral flint. Just what you want out of a session IPA.
