Small Beer is an exceptionally satisfying and full-bodied beer for its stature, with the same big hop hit you may expect from our more muscular Pale Ales. Small Beer is vibrant with citrus, tropical fruit and hedgerow berry flavours, meandering to a gentle bitter finish.

Suitable for vegans.

Bottle split at Mother Arch, thanks to L-Doge, 29/11/14. Hazed orange amber with a big old egg shell white head. Nose is citric peel, light plastic notes, apricot jam, straw, earthy, orange rind. Taste comprises tangerine, citric rinds, light bread dough, more apricot jam, mandarin. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok, could do with a lick more hops thoโ€™ !

Bottle from Beer Gonzo. It pours clear golden-amber with a medium white head. The nose is fresh, lemon peel, pomello, orange sherbet and pine. The taste is crisp, bitter, pine needles, zesty citrus, sherbet, light soap, pepper with refreshingly dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation. Crisp, clean and bitter. Very drinkable low abv action. Crushable.

Bottle shared at The Kernel - sourced from BeerRitz. Pours unclear gold with a large, tight egg shell cream head. Pleasant dry citrus hops in the nose, a bit of pith, melon. Light sweet flavor with further dry, pithy citrus, mild pine needles, hay. Light bodied with average, fluffy carbonation. Clean and dry on the finish, quite lean, with airly fresh and floral hops, more dried citrus pith, hints of minerals. Lovely stuff.

Lightly hazy orange - amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Very light thin malts. Hops are mild pine, mild orange marmalade and a touch of lemon zest. Little passion fruit on the light finish. Nicely hopped but inevitably, quite thin.

Bottle from Corks of North Street, Bristol. Vivid and slightly hazy amber, with a frothy, tight, off-white head. Decent, citrus hop aroma with a touch of marmalade sweetness. Flavour had more organe notes, additional tropical fruits and a big, bitter finish. Perhaps a bit thin bodied relative to the hoppiness, but a great low ABV beer nonetheless.
