Small Beer is an exceptionally satisfying and full-bodied beer for its stature, with the same big hop hit you may expect from our more muscular Pale Ales. Small Beer is vibrant with citrus, tropical fruit and hedgerow berry flavours, meandering to a gentle bitter finish.

Keg @ Tilt. Pours pale gold, large white head. Aroma is crisp, hoppy. Taste is hoppier than expected, crisp citrus, orange peel, pithy zest. Very good low-strength pale.

Craft Islington Gathering. Keg. Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine minerally carbonation. Parmal violets, dry citric pith. Some candy fruits. Not sure this was what was intended but it’s interesting.

Bottle from Inn Deep. It pours clear gold with a thick white head. The aroma is fresh, vibrant, tangerine, mango, apricot and sherbet. The taste is crisp, clean, refreshing, bitter, lemon peel, grapefruit, sherbet, berry and straw with a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation. Pretty flavoursome for the abv.

Keg at Craft Islington. It pours lightly hazy golden with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, tropical vibe, refreshers, zesty action and fruit candy. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, straw, pithy, zesty citrus action, cracker and a touch of astringency with a dry finish. Light - medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A nice low and number.

Bottle 50 cl. 2.9% ABC according to label. Hazy golden with a small, white head. Lovely citrusy aroma, great aroma hops. Medium body, appears a lot richer than the 2.9% ABV. Has a fruity sweetness to it, ends dry but not overly bitter. Extremely sessionable. 101016

Keg at CBC Islington, 04/10/16. Light haze on a pale blonde pour with a decent off white cap. Nose is melon, orange pith, floral tones, straw. Taste comprises orange pith, a lot more bitterness than the nose suggested and pretty damn bitter for a 2.7% beer, cantaloupe melon, bread dough, straw, lemon peel, pine flicker. Light to medium body, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with hop bitterness. Solid number for the ABV on offer.
