Small Beer is an exceptionally satisfying and full-bodied beer for its stature, with the same big hop hit you may expect from our more muscular Pale Ales. Small Beer is vibrant with citrus, tropical fruit and hedgerow berry flavours, meandering to a gentle bitter finish.

Suitable for vegans.

330ml bottle from Beer Hive. Pours hazy golden orange thin white head. Aromas of strawberries and cream. Taste is very creamy, which doesn’t really allow the promised hop hit to shine through. Medium body, tropical fruit notes coming through towards the end. Not bad.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s gaff. Thanks to Leighton for this one. Hazed golden / light orange coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is nice orange rind, citrus, grainy. Reletively simple nose. Flavour is composed of light orange, light grains, mineral, chalky, semi-dry in the finish. Simple beer, doesn’t try to do too much. Palate is airy, light, moderate carbonation.

Bottle split @LKS thanks to @LKS, 27/05/15. Lightly hazed golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is peach, melon, light floral notes, citric sherbets. Taste comprises more citric sherbets, mineral trace, melon, lemon rind, soft bread dough, orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok sessioner but lacks a little depth, that said @2.6% it’s not so bad.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at some bottle shop. Pours crystal clear gold with a frothy white head. The nose holds some peach, lemon, plastic, bread. Light sweet flavor with simple pale, bready malts, some straw, lemon peel. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with some drying minerality, rindy citrus, crispy bread. So so.
