Een rookbock zoals hij hoort te zijn! Tonen van karamel en geroosterde mout en rooksmaak van gerookte mout. De rooksmaak zit heerlijk in de andere smaken verweven, waardoor het erg goed in balans is.

Borefts Beer Festival IV. Day 2. Light haze on this amber beer, little pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Smooth creamy malt, mellow smoke. Mild dark malt tang. Semi dry finish with a carbonated nip.

11/10/9/8/8/9

Boreft Beer Festival 2012. Hazy chestnut colour with a lasting off-white head. Meaty German smoke aroma with some hay and grain. Sweet smokey and malty flavour with a touch of fruit. Feels a bit thin

On tap at 4th Borefts. Cloudy amber colour with average, beige head. Nice if standard smoke malt aroma. Taste is smoky, sightly sourish and bitter, a bit watery; late appearing roasty malty notes in the finish come too late. Slightly light bodied. 7/3/6/2/13. 300ml bottle. Clear dark amber colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lasting, off-white head. This time with fuller body, more elaborated caramel and smoke malt notes. 7/3/7/3/14

Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with lovely smokey notes - my guess is beech wood. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and smoke - from beech wood, leading to a dry smokey finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

30 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Orange citric and smoked aroma. Smoked, subdued caramel, slight breadish and roasted malt base flavoured with a light bitterness coming through. Smooth and yet sweet into a mild lasting roasted note.
