Bottle. Distinct liquorice aroma, sweet, syrupy and roasted. Muddy dark red brown colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is very roasted with a good woody smoke note. Flavourful, but well-balanced.

Tap @ BBF ’08. Dark amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of smoke, grain, hop. Flavour is very bitter, caramel, smoke, salty. Medium bodied. Rather extreme flavours, but nice overall.

Bottle @ Maria tasting. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is smoked, hop, caramel. Flavour is hop, caramel, smoked. A little bit unharmonic, but still a tasteful beer.

Bottle. Hazy, amber body with a dense beige head. Smoked, toffeeish nose with a spicy, herbal touch. Smoked and toffeeish flavor too, quite sweet, and it gets a little herbal towards the finish. There’s a slight sourness as well, the kind of sourness you get from a dying bonfire. Full bodied. A rather unusual beer, quite tasteful, but I think a bottle would be enough. (080412)

Bottle. Pours dark bronze colored with a medium tan head and good lacing. Aroma is very smoky. Reminds me of ham. Taste is smoky and complex. Creamy. Thank you bierkoning!

Bottled. Deep amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is smoked wood, leather and some mild sugary notes along with herbs. Flavour is really tarry (like the Finnish candy "Tervaleijona"). Also some wood and caramel. Aftertaste is tar and smoke from wet wood. Pleasant smoked.

Cloudy brown colour. Aroma is smoked. Flavour is sweet, of smoke and chocolate. Finishes dry.

Tap @ PINT bokbierfestival. Cloudy brown color, short creamy head. Aroma of nutty malt, some smoke, slight whisky, bit chocolat. Bit sweet taste, walnut, malty. Very decent stuff.
