Seppo, Tuomas, Mikko ja Esa päättivät yhdessä lähteä tekemään olutta. Mikä oli lopputulos? Mukiinmenevä mieto, mutta maultaan täyteläinen olut. Maustoimme oluen myös aidolla vaniljalla ja lakritsajuurella, joiden aromit hillitysti täydentävät suutuntumaa.

Draught @ St. Urhos. Aroma is sweet with milky tones, milk chocolate and some licorice. Also cocoa. Flavour has milk chocolate, licorice root and mellow herbal tones. Gets even some raspberry juice when warming up. Flat palate, almost on CO2 at all. Finishes with some salty licorice. Clean and easy to drink.

Tap at St Urho, Helsinki. Colour is dark brown with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Coffee, some licorice, yeast? and roasted malts. 4.5abv? Probably stronger.

(Keg at St Urho’s Pub Portteri ja Stout -päivät ’15) The beer poure black. Its head was small and almost white. Aroma had vanilla, coffee and liquorice. Palate was medium bodied with rather low carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, coffee, vanilla and bitterness. Aftertaste had liquorice and bitterness. A thin but tasty sweet stout
