[ As Verdant / Deya Jacob the Canary ].
ABV: 8.0%. Murky medium orange colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, wheat - oat, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, celery, minerals, fruity juice, passion fruit - papaya. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruit juice, passion fruit - papaya, fruity hops, sweet malt, orange, pine. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20171015]

Keg at the Star and Garter, Bromley. Cloudy orange pour, no head. Nose of tangerine, grapefruit, mango which segues nicely into the flavour. Very nice.

Keg at the Queens head, Acton St. A milky yellow coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is sweet tropical, grape, lychee, dank hop, plastic. Flavour is composed of rounded doughy grains, oats, big assertive chewy hop, lots of spicy lemon rind, prickly, bubble gum. Aggressive grassy citrus, slightly rough bitterness. Palate is rounded, chewy, frorhy prickly carbonation,. Big lingering bitterness. Packs a big hop punch.

Growler fill. Little Leeds Beer House. Dirty gold. Full on haze. Barely a head. Nose has spearmint. Woody herb. Lots of pineapple skin. Mango. Peach, and some ripe pear. I'm guessing this has plenty of oats in the grist. Creamy and sweet. Taste is oaty sweet. Estery bitter. Some oiliness. Soft mouthfeel. A bit milky, and has some booze poking through. Finish gets punchy, citrus bitter. Doesn't come together that well, for me.

Keg at HL1, 30/09/17. Murky orange with a decent off white head. Nose is orange squash, citric tinged straw, pine needle, light dank hop exhaust, squeeze of grapefruit. Taste comprises orange pith, toasted brioche, grapefruit, pine, apricot jam, tropical fruit mash up. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with mellow danko hop bitterness. A very approachable easy drinking and well balanced DIPA.

Keg at HL. It pours crazy turbid milky gold with a tiny white head. The aroma is rich, fresh, juicy, creamy, fruit smoothie, papaya, passion fruit, mango puree, grapefruit, lemon sherbet, grassy and pine dust. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, pithy, zesty, raw hoppage, pine needles, grapefruit, lemony, grassy, resin, booze, creamy, fruit smoothie and minerals with a lingering bitter - dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty big and raw. Good fun.
