Appearance: Very viscous black substance. Light coffee crema coloured foam
Aroma: Intense Fruity dark chocolate. Bournville, light cherry, toffee caramel with a touch of granola.
Taste & Body: Pretty soupy viscous stuff. Sweet but not cloying, moderately balanced in bitterness. Somewhat creamy texture with an intense linear array of malt flavours progressing along all the promised characters of its aroma. Toffee wins with an array of toasty cakes and pastries.
Note ABV varies and has been noted at 10.8/10.9 and 11.4%.

1/12/2024. Draft at Åben Aarhus. Pours black with a small frothy/creamy light tan coloured head. Aroma is dark chocolate, rich coffee, roasted malt, nut, dark fruit. Medium sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Quite full bodied, smooth, low carbonation. Nice long roasted bitterness to finish. Good.

Keg at the Fidelity Bar, Dublin, 17/11/2024.
Black with a tan cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is roast malts, molasses, burnt toffee, chocolate shavings, light charr effect.
Taste comprises roasted bite, spice, toffee, molasses, toasted brown sugar melt.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light rising boost.
Tidy enough sipper but comes in a little overly sweet for my liking and lacking some depth.
