500ml bottle from The Green Shop in Berwick upon Tweed, pours amber with a white head. Aromas & tastes of apple, caramel & biscuit malt. Medium body. Slightly dry light bitter finish. Enjoyable

Rocky beige head on a chestnut coloured still body. Bitter fruited aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & soft with bite on the back. Sweet malt, caramel, liquorice & candied fruit tastes with a tangy finish. Decent.

Bottle from Lindisfarne Meadery. Bronzey-amber in hue with a negligible white head. Dry and oaty with biscuits and a subtle fruitiness. So-so.

Bottle from the Green Shop in Berwick upon Tweed. Appearance - deep amber to brown. Decent head. Nose - toffee, fresh apple. Taste - chocolate hobnob with dry apple tang on the finish. Palate - light to medium bodied. Creamy but dry and tangy. Fairly good finish. Overall - ok.

Cask (gravity) @ NBF 2017 [ The 42th. Nottingham Beer Festival (The 10th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival) ], Nottingham Castle, Friar Lane, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EB. [ As Hetton Law Hetton Howler ]. ABV: 4.0%. Clear medium amber orange colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, pale malt, apple. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, apple, sweet malt, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat flat. [20171012] 5-3-5-3-9

500ml bottle from the Green shop, berwick-upon-tweed. Pours clear amber with a thin off-white head. Aromas of metal and nuts. Taste is metallic, sweet, and squarely in the Northern Brown Booze market. Decent enough, in a nostalgic way.
