24/8/2019. Bottle from Open Baladin, Rome and shared at the Ipswich & North Essex beer share. Pours very dark brown with a bubbly creamy beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, biscuit, chocolate orange, toffee and dark fruit. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium to full body, slick texture, average carbonation. Rich, with a slightly ash/tar finish. Good brew.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of cocoa upfront, with light orange, and medium roast. Flavour brings out a harmonious mix of chocolate and orange, with light roast and a touch of vanilla. Not overly complex, but it works cohesively enough.

500ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Bubbly, tan-coloured head. Spotty lacing. Deep black body. Earthy chocolate malts on the nose, promising. Rich taste of chocolate, earth, molasses, and coffee. Lingering roasted malty ending with piney bitterness beneath. Full bodied. Excellent sipper qualities. (Rating session with janeriks, Snegurochka, Finn and TheCellerar, Tromsø 15.03.2018).
