Bottle shared at Dave's deal with the devil again tasting. Many thanks. A thick chewy dark brown coloured pour with a halo tan head. Aroma is semi sweet,, dark chocolate brownie,, light tang, raisin, fruit and nut. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, light tang, chewy, chocolate powder, rum and raisin, light tang, moderate carbonation. Nice. Lingering spicy, toasted coconut and chocolate. Intense.

19th June 2026Dealing With The Devil again tasting at CBJ. Thanks to Wingman. Near opaque dark brown beer, small and short lived bubbly dark tan head. Soft and mildly viscous palate, modest fine carbonation, fine for this style. Smooth and soft palate, a mild viscosity, modest fine carbonation, fine for this style. Soft but rich chocolate malts, fruity, a soft cinnamon undertone. Modest vanilla. A little alcohol spice on the soft finish. Nice.

Dark brown. This has a lot of cinnamon. Dark sugars. Less thick than usual, but still pretty good body. Not sure if I get the coffee, but I do get a nice decent barrel character.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a tiny brown head. Aroma is rich, with a nice blend of cinnamon, coffee, dark sugars, and bourbon barrels. Flavour is rich and bold, with lots of bourbon barrels, gentle coffee, a touch of cinnamon, and deep dark sugars. Really great barrel character, thick malt character, and not too much cinnamon. Excellent, but would be better without the cinnamon.

Aroma: a lot of cinnamon, sweet, bold. Couldn't identify the barrel character over the cinnamon explosion.
Taste: along the same lines, thick, bold, very sweet, some chcocolate.
Overall: cinnamon bomb 😑

Poured from 650mL bottle. Very dark brown with small beige head. Very cinnamon forward (too much) with some nice bourbon barrel, feint hint of coffee. Ends up being too much cinnamon - unbalanced. The base beer ends up saving the beer, but would rather have DBR.

650mL bottle. Pours black with no head. Tons of bourbon, roast, coffee, dark brown sugar, and a touch of cinnamon on the nose. Flavour has a huge bourbon barrel character, good roast, lots of coffee, dark brown sugar, burnt bread crusts. Barrels come through very aggressively, but it works really well; this beer is excellent.

750 bottle. Aroma is bourbon, cinnamon, coffee. The flavor follows with a mild warming after the sip. Hidden ABV. Mouthfeel is bold and velvety smooth. Slight cinnamon finish. Layered flavored.

Bottle. Pours inky black with a small brown head and good lacing. Aroma is fudge espresso with maple, bourbon, cinnamon, and vanilla. Flavor is sweet, light plus bitter. Full body, silky, good.
