Surprisingly delicious, well spiced upfront but balanced with the barleywines notes, roasted pecans finish. Nice!

Bottle (2021) split at Muted Horn, Berlin, with the Wingmane 23/07/22. Rich mahogany brown with a beige cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is sweet malts, caramel, toffee, bourbon, brown sugar dusting, fruit cake. Taste comprises sweet malts, caramel, vanilla, figs, booze, toffee fudge, bourbon rip. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a warming buzz of alcohol. Solid sipper.

500 ml bottle shared by tfontana. Thanks buddy!! Congratulations on 5,000!! Aroma layers of oak with bourbon and rich malts. In the flavor there is a nutty character. It doesn’t scream pecan, but that makes no difference to me. Simply because of how layered and smooth the flavors are. No booze anywhere. 13.5 % is hardly noticeable.! Don’t give a shit what any other raters say. Awesome!

Bottle (2021 vintage) pour from Valley Beverage--5,000th rate! It's an opaque dark brown with nice viscosity. Aroma is strong bourbon, oak, caramel/molasses, spices. Taste is strong sweet malt, bourbon, dark fruit, oak, caramel, background nut. Smooth, velvety texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Super smooth and well balanced. Eminently enjoyable. If there's a fault, not evoking that much pecan pie. Was this a little too aged for the pecan.

2021: Mahogy color and a small white head. Christmas in the nose: Star anis, cardamon, cinnamon, nuts, molasse. Really sweet taste, a little over the top. Caramel malts over dark fruits, spices, molasse, nuts. Nice.

On tap at Chuck's Hop Shop - Greenwood, pours a deep dark mahogany with a tiny head. Aroma is loaded with roasted pecans, light vanilla, some gentle cinnamon, and rounded bourbon barrels. Flavour is sweet, with loads of brown sugar, bourbon barrels, vanilla, and gentle pecans. It's certainly sweet but it's rounded and complex, with loads of depth. Lovely, but a bit too sweet for me.

Medium brown, not much head. It’s a bit hazy, so looks kind of murky. Sticky syrup, pekmez, that sort of thing on the nose. Soft, rich, beautiful vanillin, fruity depth and gentle acidity to help pull all the sugars across the palate. Excellent.
