GTMW 2022, Port version. Heavy roast, very sweet, lots of alcool. muddy brown color.

Can - pours a dark ruby, nearly black - a lot of character reminds me of a barleywine - loads of fig, treacle, sherry/oxidation, brown sugar - barrel adds complexity without overpowering - a lot of dark fruit on the back end - warming finish, with a bit of spiciness - nice.

It's just another sweet strong raisiny beer in both Aromas and flavors. Okay carbonation body and boozy finish.

Sample @ MBCC 2017. Aromas of fudge, vanilla, dark fruits, dark chocolate. Taste is bready, vanilla, dark fruits and chocolate.

Draught @ MBCC 2018, Yellow Session
Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, oak, bourbon and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, oak and bourbon finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Appearance: Dark amber colour with an off-white head.
Aroma: Caramel, fruit, malt, bourbon.
Body: Medium body, low carbonation.
Flavour: Malt, caramel, bourbon, dried fruit, some vanilla.
