Apalach IPA has lots of refreshing citrus notes. We think it pairs great with fried shrimp and oysters - but then again, what doesn’t? It may be best enjoyed, however, after landing a tarpon with a fly rod.

On tap at OCBC, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is full of spicy hops, plenty of pine cones, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is all sorts of unbalanced, with chaotic spiciness in the hops, and some light perfumey notes. What a disaster. How can you sell this?

Amber color, sweet malty and cool pine aroma. Malty backbone with a heavy resin hop bitterness. Lasting hop aftertaste.

Darker pale. Big head. Nose is rather neutral, yes some hops but its lacking the BO and perfume functions. Initial taste is rather mild for an IPA. Yes, it is bitter, and it is building, but initially it is rather acceptable. Let's not count my chickens before they hatch. Middle is bitter sun is rizen. It's even starting to get some of that astringent bite in there. Funny how it evolves. Whew. Yea, I even think I'm catching a buzz which almost makes the final terrible bitterness almost worthwhile. Does have a little carbonation clear to the end, makes it almost acceptable.

Re-rate 8/1/2021. 12 oz can purchased at Kwiker Liquor in Panama City Beach, Florida. The pour is a mostly clear orange golden with a well formed one inch white head. The aroma is citrus, floral, pine bitterness, earth and caramel malt. The taste is a really nice blend of the clean fresh citrus floral hops, pine soft bitterness and the caramel malt throughout. The palate is medium bodied, active carbonation and the clean mineral soft bitter finish. Solid IPA, this was my go-to at the beach. Original rating 5/30/2018. Shaker pint draft at 45 Central (the wine place) in Seaside, Florida. The pour is slight haze orange golden with a small egg white head. The aroma is peach, citrus, floral hop, some pine along with some bready malt. The taste is a nice fresh balance between the bread malt and the fruit citrus floral hop. The pine is around in the finish. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and the pine resin finish. Solid.
