Tight rocky white head stayed on an unclear dark golden still body. Tropical, hoppy & mango aroma. Medium bodied, tingly on the front with a dull cloying back. Mango, onion, hoppy, nectarine, pineapple & confectionery tastes. Nice.

Gravity cask at the 2019 Nottingham Beer Festival. Dark gold and clear with very little head. Massive aroma of white grape with a touch of astringency. Bittersweet on the tongue with suggestions of sweetness to the medicinal finish. An excellent British Isles IPA.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [071115]
Amber, clear, frothy bubbly white head, light lacing, head dissipates
Aroma of tropical fruits, mango, sweet citrus fruits, soft grapefruit, hint of orange, good clear fruity aroma
Taste of bitter zest, grapefruit zest, sweet caramel malt background, very hoppy, getting a bit of that butter biscuit malt I didn’t like in another one of their beers, but it did go away eventually, lots of flavour in this
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, rich texture, considerably bitter, sweet background. Finish is fairly dry, long bitter zest linger
Overall - Maybe a tad over stuffed and I’m not sure about the malt background, but plenty of hops in this and it’s robust. Quite decent.
