22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out dark cocoa, hearty oats, and roasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with plenty of hearty oats, moderate roasted malt, and a hint of dark cocoa. Hearty and well-balanced, with a fairly dry finish. Very good.

650ml bottle (thx, Peter K.!) at Alex's. Bottled on 2017-03-22. Pours an almost black with a brown head. Aroma is roasted malt with some inky notes. Taste is moderately sweet with dark fruits and roasted malt bitterness. Good.

Dark brown. No head. The aroma is toffee, chocolate, with a little bit of alcohol. A little bit sticky, toffee...nice body, has some juiciness, with mellow chocolate, and more of those dark malts. Moderate bitterness. This is a solid example...relatively light but brings a lot of flavour and balance.

Batch #057 \"12/17/2015\"
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a black color with a one finger off white to tan foamy to filmy head. Light lacing glossed around the glass nicely.
The smell started off with a roasted chocolate maltiness in front of some roasted nutty to slight graininess. Light breadiness surrounds the rest of the aroma nicely.
The taste was moderately bitter and roasty with an ample amount of the sweetness of the chocolate sliding in for the balance nicely. There’s a dry roasty aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionable feel about it. Carbonation feels good, nothing overbearing still, nice bitter to roasty feels biting at my tongue.
Overall, for an Imperial Stout, this is good and I’d have it again.
