Taster at the brewery. Aroma and nose are the same. Decent roasted malt backbone, chocolate, barley. Easy earthy finish.

6 oz. taster pour at the brewery. It's an opaque black with brown at the bottom of the glass, nice sparkle at the edges, thin ring of khaki head with good persistence and light lacing. Aroma is subtle roasted malts and mild caramel. Taste is good strength roasted earthy malt with toffee. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with creamy smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, appearance, aroma and flavor all competent but mouthfeel is exceptional.
