Cask @ The Royal Oak, Capel-le-Ferne. Clear dark red with a small but lovely-looking creamy white/beige head. Aroma of dried fruits, malts, bread, red berries and some chocolate. Taste follows aroma plus toffee and notes of lemons. Low bitterness. Low carbonation.Thin mouthfeel. Ok.

On keg at the Llandoger Trow, Bristol 15/12/2022. Dark brown in colour, with a tight, off-white, head. Brown sugar, lightly toasty malts and a slight tanginess in the finish. Fine.

12/7/2021. Keg at the Old Hall Hotel, Hope. Pours almost black with a thick creamy off-white head. Aroma is mild roasted malt, chocolate, nut, dark fruits. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Light body, slight watery texture, soft carbonation. It is what it is and it’s okay.

Half-pint, on keg at Brunswick Arms. Nitro creamy, beige head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. . dark with a deep ruby tint. Mid-sweet malt on the nose. Dark malt-driven flavours. Smooth, slightly roasted ending. Okay, easy to drink. Bit thin. (Swansea 01.10.2018).

Fra kran på Brunswick, Swansea. Ultramørkebrun / svart. Lavt tett kritthvitt nitroskum. Så vidt litt røstet malt i aromaen. Smaken litt røyk. Sånn passe.

Keg at the Bulls Head, Warrington. Dark brown and just slightly translucent. A very creamy beige head. Aroma is malty with a heavy metallic note. Sweetish taste with a sour metallic finish. Watercress and light malty notes in the aftertaste. Thin body. Duller than dull. Not a lot to this, might suit cask better.
