4 oz. taster at the source. Spot on the style. Heavy on toffee and raisins. Medium plus in the body. Just a hint of booze in the finish. Real nice flavor.

Taster pour on tap at the brewery. Aroma is dark fruit, fig, caramel, brown bread. Appearance is clear, dark amber-red with no sparkle, thin cap of beige head with poor retention and no lacing. Taste is strong caramel, dark fruit and fig. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, initially average-to-lively carbonation but calms to wonderful soft as it sits, mild alcohol warmth, and finish as taste. Overall, taste really delivers deliciousness and exceptional mouthfeel.

Sample at the source tonight. Fairly clear dark auburn in color with a thin short lived head. Rich caramel and lightly fruity and melanoidin maltiness. Light spicy earthy yeasty characters. Pretty tasty with a hint of warming alcohol.
