Served at the House of Hops US beer tasting, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear almost black colour with a thin broken off-white head. The aroma is roasty, toffee, sweet vanilla. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, sugary toffee, vanilla, light liquorice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Can shared in London - cheers to sethbreaker. Pours deep brown with a foamy, off-white head. Medium sweet flavour with hearty dark malts, berries, a little cocoa, coffee accents, raisins. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, decent balance.

16 oz. can shared by by tfontana, thanks for the chance Tom! Aroma of toasted and roasted oats, light roast. The flavor displayed light roast, chocolate malts, and a mild lactose sweetness. The body and texture are nice which is attributed to the lactose.

Can (6/5/20) pour from Friar Tuck, Crestwood. Appearance is dark brown with light sparkle at the edges of the glass, thin ring of light khaki head and no lacing. Aroma is roasted malt. Taste is roasted malt, lactose, light vanilla. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, silky texture, soft carbonation and sweet finish as taste. Overall, the lactose makes the taste and mouthfeel stand out. Good.

Pour is a almost black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malt, maybe some cocoa and even a slight hop. Flavor is more of a char malt with bakers chocolate and a super dry finish. Pretty decent and flavorful for a brown ale. Probably need to be more around 5% abv but that is a minor complaint.
