Has most of the characteristics of a standard belgian-style Stout. Very rich rosti black and color tan head lots of yeast and wine qualities both in Aroma and flavor. A little bit of alcohol warmth in the Finish.

Bottle shared at the chriso and Ruth pre-Christmas / post-Pigs Ear holiday tasting of 2015 - London. Cheers! Pours clear, deep red-brown with a frothy, tan head. Light dry cocoa in the aroma, some burnt toffee, earth. Moderately sweet, with more earthy, baking cocoa, light toffee and alcohol. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming to finish, with some sweet chocolate, candi sugar and well roasted malts. Not bad.

Bottle at Chriso’s Xmas Tasting 2015. It pours darkest brown with a thick beige head. The nose is toasted, earthy, charred wood, burnt treacle, toffee, cacao nibs and dark fruits. The taste is bitter, toasted, earth, woody, spice, warming alcohol, candy sugars, leather, dark fruits and chewy malt with a dry, warming finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Interesting and pretty well constructed. Decent.

Bottle split at the Chriso pre Xmas tasting, 06/12/15, as ’Belgian Style Stout’. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a light tan covering. Nose is dark fruit, spice, raisens, yeast strokes, fruit loaf, dates, hint of red wine. Taste comprises Belgian yeast esters, cocoa nibs, spice, dried fruits, date, fruit cake. Medium bodied, slightly spritzy carbonation, semi drying close with light warming alcohol coming into play. Decent enough Belgian stylee stout, drinks well below the ABV.
